A bit of a 'buzz' was created Tuesday night ( and possibly a record for a 'club auction' ) when the Jan 22 stamp of the week went up for auction at our regular auction night. Unfortunately, the bidding did not meet the $12,000 reserve.

The Annual Christmas Dinner was held at the Canadiana Restaurant in Etobicoke. 14 members and 4 guests (Susan Butler, Lorna Hedger, Margie Hodgson and Gary Westhouse) attended the dinner. The lucky prizes winners were:

Silvia Quidzinski (Box of chocolates),

Josh Hodgson (Copy of Canada #294 MNH) and

Gary Westhouse (Bottle of wine).

Each attendee received a 1969 cachet Christmas First Day Cover provided by Peter Butler.

Many thanks are conveyed to Fred Froud and Don Hedger for organizing and staging this special social event.
